Tragedy struck at Carnival's new private island destination in the Bahamas as two American vacationers drowned during a snorkeling excursion. The victims, a husband and wife, were reportedly participating in a guided snorkeling tour when the incident occurred.
According to witnesses, the couple had been in the water for only a few minutes before they began to struggle. Despite efforts from the tour guides and fellow passengers to rescue them, the vacationers tragically succumbed to the rough waters.
